We were thrilled to host Professor Nicola Perilli from the University of Pisa, Italy—a renowned expert in surface and subsurface stratigraphy, groundwater potential, water management, training, and networking.
Assist. Prof. John Tesfay, Vice President for Administration and Development and the president's delegate, delivered a warm opening speech. He welcomed Prof. Perilli and expressed the university's enthusiasm for collaborating with such distinguished scholars to advance our mission and vision.
Short presentations on the internationalization of the university were delivered by Dr. Tesfalem Atnafu and Dr. Gemechis Sakata. Three research proposals were also presented, with valuable feedback collected from participants.
During his visit, Prof. Perilli engaged in dynamic discussions with our researchers, exploring potential collaborative research areas and forging networks with global universities, research centers, and funders. He was truly impressed by the energy and passion of Mattu University's scholars!
