Mattu University’s Practical Education and Laboratory Coordination, in collaboration with Jimma University’s College of Agriculture and Veterinary Medicine, has successfully conducted a specialized training program for Natural Science instructors and laboratory technicians.
 
 The training was facilitated by the distinguished Professor Dr. Beira Hailu Meressa, Director of the Laboratory and Facility Directorate at Jimma University. The session focused on enhancing participants’ practical competencies, laboratory management skills, and technical expertise.
 
 As part of this important collaboration, Professor Dr. Beira Hailu Meressa generously donated two advanced microscopes—a compound microscope and a stereo microscope—to Mattu University. These modern laboratory instruments will significantly strengthen research and practical learning activities within the Biology and Geology departments, supporting scientific innovation and advancing research excellence.
 
 The handover ceremony was attended by Mattu University President, Dr. Alemu Disassa, and Assistant Professor John Tesfaye, Vice President for Administration and Development. In their remarks, both leaders emphasized the importance of institutional collaboration in promoting quality education, research advancement, and laboratory-based learning.
 
 Dr. Alemu Disassa expressed his sincere appreciation to Professor Dr. Beira Hailu Meressa and Jimma University for their valuable support and partnership, noting that the training and equipment contribution will play a vital role in enhancing the university’s academic and research capabilities.
