It is well-known that the Ministry of Education has introduced a new system and set of guidelines regarding the academic year and common courses across all universities. As part of these changes, the government has mandated that only freshman students will be required to take the common courses during their first year. These multi-disciplinary courses are now offered to all first-year students at universities. Although common courses were previously available, they were offered within departments of each college. Under the new system, however, these courses are now standardized and implemented across the university as a whole.
