Head of President Office

Mattu university, drawing its mission from establishment regulation number 239/2011 of the Council of Ministers, has established organizational structures that would help in achievement of its missions. The current organizational structure incorporates: The President, two major wings led by vice presidents, and Office of the President. Office of the of the president, led by the Head of Office, engages in overarching activities that are basically meant to support the two basic wings, i.e. academic research, community service and technology transfer wing, and the admin and development wing. The office oversees the activities of nine executives and a directorate whose overall duties are providing cross-cutting support and ensuring ethical, legal and financial transparency, accountability and responsibility.
From the reporting offices, the Legal Service Executive works to uphold rule of law within the university. The executive handles legal cases that are brought to the law enforcement agencies and courts by or against the university. The ethics monitoring executive works to ensure the meeting of ethical standards on all fronts and services offered by and in the university. The executive also strives to fight corrupt behavior and activities and works to ensure accountability and responsibility whenever ethics breaches are spotted or reported. In addition, the audit executive is a strong university-wide financial and performance watchdog that ensures the implementation of due diligence while dealing with public money and resources in the university. The executive, with strong support from national agencies, implements swift and binding corrective measures to uphold transparency and accountability in the university’s dealings.
The strategic affairs, reform, women and social affairs mainstreaming executives are the additional offices that report to the president office. The strategic affairs executive prepares, implements and conducts the monitoring and evaluation of the strategic objectives of the university considering the organizational mission. The executive also draws strategic, tactical and operational budget of the university and ensures the alignment of university expenses with the stated goals and mission of the university. The reform executive implements reform initiatives that are foundational to customer satisfaction, and organizational growth and resilience. The women and social affairs mainstreaming executive ensures the equitable participation and contribution of women and other internal stakeholders with special need in university affairs. The executive ensures the implementation of remedial actions to boost participation of women and other underprivileged internal stakeholders.
The public and international relations executive works to build reputation of the university by communicating its activities and interests to internal and external stakeholders. It strives to strengthen the digital presence of the university and harness the digital divide to attract national and international collaborators. The research internationalization directorate is also established to capitalize on the importance of fostering and maintaining international linkage to fuel the realization of organizational missions. In addition, the community radio is also run under the president office with a mandate of engaging local community in local leadership and development initiatives. The radio plays a key role in empowering the local community to take the leadership role in identifying key development challenges and working on their solutions. 
Finally, the ICT executive aspires to offer cutting edge ICT services and solutions that help the university community to execute their routine, tactical and strategic goals with greater ease and efficiency.
In summary, the president office plays key cross cutting and overarching roles that help in realization of organizational missions.
